Dr. Russell Barkley’s model of executive functions and how they develop over time has been the most powerful research I have read in my years as an educator. It has provided me with invaluable information about the brain and learning and how executive functioning skills play a critical role in learning and life outcomes. His research, videos, books and talks have provided me with a foundation for helping parents, students and teachers understand why students with ADHD and other learning differences struggle in school.
